About the player
David Irimia came through Dinamo București's academy and was promoted to the senior squad for the 2022–23 season. His early involvement was limited to a handful of Liga II outings and a Romanian Cup appearance, and the following season brought only two further Cup appearances as he waited for a fuller opportunity.
That opportunity came away from Dinamo. In July 2024 he joined Metaloglobus București on loan. In his first season there he made 25 Liga II appearances, scored five goals and played twice in the promotion play-offs as Metaloglobus went up to Liga I. He stayed on loan for the following campaign, adding 25 league appearances, two goals and two cup games in Liga I football.
Irimia returned to Dinamo București at the end of that loan spell and has since featured in the senior squad, making eight Liga I appearances for the club in the early part of the 2026–27 season. His contract at Dinamo runs until 2029.
Alongside his club football, Irimia has represented Romania at youth level, with caps for the under-19 and under-20 sides. A right-back by trade and right-footed, he has yet to add a senior trophy to his record.
