David Semenchuk

David Semenchuk came through the CSKA Moscow academy before finishing his development at the Football School of Moscow and, from 2020, at Rostov, where he worked his way through the club's under-19 and under-21 sides. His first-team chance arrived in the Russian Premier League against Rubin Kazan, and he also featured for the reserve side, Rostov-2, in the Second League while establishing himself.

A loan to Arsenal Tula for the 2024–25 season gave the centre-back a regular run of games outside the capital, and he made the most of it, appearing in 21 league matches in the Russian First League along with three cup ties. That spell offered the sustained minutes he had not yet had at Rostov, and he returned to the club afterwards as a free agent to rejoin the first-team squad.

Semenchuk is right-footed. He has yet to add international recognition to his club record, having not been capped by Russia at any level. Speaking in an interview in October 2024, he said he would be open to representing either Russia or Moldova, though no call-up had followed at that point. He remains without a major individual award or team title so far in his career, with his focus instead on building on the appearances he has gathered in Rostov colours since his return.
