About the player
Denislav Minchev came through the youth ranks at Neftochimik 1962 Burgas, scoring five goals in seventeen appearances for the club's under-19 side in the 2018/2019 season, though he never broke into the first team there. His senior career began away from the top flight, first at Karnobat and then at Slivnishki Geroy, where he spent three seasons in the Yugozapadna Treta Liga.
The move that shaped his career came in June 2022, when Minchev joined Dunav Ruse as a free agent. His scoring record there has climbed steadily each season: four goals in thirteen matches in his first campaign, nine in twenty-three the following year, and thirteen goals in twenty-four appearances in 2024/2025. He re-signed with the club in June 2023. Despite the goals, Dunav Ruse finished ninth in the Second League and missed out on promotion to the Parva Liga.
