Ethan Stuart William Galbraith

Ethan Galbraith is the midfielder who brought Stoke City a significant investment when he arrived from Swansea City in the summer of 2026.

His journey did not begin in England. Raised in Glengormley, he moved through the youth ranks in Northern Ireland before joining the Manchester United academy in 2017. He signed his first professional contract just a year later and made his first-team debut by the end of 2019.

The years that followed were defined by movement. He left Old Trafford as a free agent in 2023 after spells on loan at Doncaster Rovers and Salford City. He then secured a permanent spot at Leyton Orient before making the step up to Swansea City two years later.

There is a consistency in his approach. Standing 175 cm tall, he holds his ground in the centre of the park. He has become a familiar face in the Northern Ireland setup. He made his senior debut for his country in 2019 and has now earned 16 caps. He has not yet found the net for the national side, but his presence in the midfield is valued.
