Shea Emmanuel Charles

Shea Charles left the Manchester City academy, where he had trained since 2011, with three winner's medals to his name — the Premier League and FA Cup in 2022–23, and the Champions League that same season — without featuring in any of the finals. His only senior appearance for the club came against Brentford in May 2023, shortly before Southampton paid an initial £10.5 million to sign him.

Recalled by Southampton in January 2025, he returned to Sheffield Wednesday on loan, finishing the campaign with 43 appearances and a goal against Coventry City. The Owls named him their Player of the Year and Player of the Month for October, and he later picked up the EFL Championship Goal of the Month award for a strike against Oxford United, having also been nominated for the division's Young Player of the Year.

Internationally, Charles has become a regular fixture for Northern Ireland since his debut against Greece in 2022, reaching 35 caps and scoring his first goal against Luxembourg during World Cup qualification. He was involved in the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign, though Northern Ireland did not reach the finals.

A £30 million switch to Fulham made him the most expensive Northern Ireland footballer in history, and he signed a five-year contract at the club.
