About the player
Erdem Seçgin spent eight years in the Beşiktaş system. On 29 November 2018 he made his professional debut in a Europa League match against Sarpsborg 08 FF.
He had come to Beşiktaş in 2013 from Seyrantepe Ofspor, where he had played for a year. He went through the club's U16, U17, U19 and U21 sides. In January 2018 he signed his first professional contract, a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The European debut did not lead to a regular place, and his career took shape on loan and in the second tier. In September 2020 he went to İnegölspor for the 2020–2021 season, where he played 28 matches and scored twice.
In August 2021 he left Beşiktaş for İstanbulspor. A year later he was sent to Isparta 32 Spor for the 2022–2023 season. There he played 33 matches, scoring two goals.
Van BB took him on loan in July 2023. He returned to İstanbulspor in 2024 and is registered with Van BB for the 2024–2025 season.
