About the player
Eric Meza spent almost his entire youth career in Santa Fe. His professional debut came against Independiente in November 2020, and he signed his first professional contract the following January. Over three seasons at Colón he made 93 league appearances and scored seven goals, and was part of the squad that won the Copa de la Liga Profesional in 2021.
In January 2024, Estudiantes de La Plata signed him, taking on 70% of his economic rights and presenting him to the club that month. He added 68 league appearances and two goals to his record. The move has paid off in silverware: he has lifted the Copa de la Liga Profesional in 2024, the Trofeo de Campeones de la Liga Profesional in both 2024 and 2025, and the Torneo Clausura in 2025.
At youth international level, Meza has represented Argentina at Under-20 and Under-23 level, including a call-up for the 2021 Copa América U-23. A senior cap with the national team has yet to follow.
