About the player
Fábio Tavares learned his trade at Rochdale, signing his first professional contract in June 2019 and going on to make 26 league appearances for the club, scoring twice. A brief loan at Curzon Ashton in February 2020 added three more appearances and a goal before he made the step up to Coventry City in February 2021, moving for an undisclosed fee. His time at Coventry, stretching across four seasons, brought 22 league appearances and two goals.
The turning point came in January 2025, when he dropped down to Burton Albion on loan. The following season showed just how far he had progressed at his new home — 27 league appearances and four goals.
