Fernandinho

Fernandinho spent 2024 turning heads in Série B, leading the division in successful dribbles at a rate of 2.3 per match and playing a key role as Mirassol won promotion to Série A. That campaign also had a rougher edge: he picked up three red cards along the way.

His path to that moment had wound through the lower and middle tiers of Brazilian football. Born in São Luís, he started out at Sampaio Corrêa before loan spells took him to Noroeste and Internacional. Spells at Bahia, Joinville and a loan to Chapecoense followed, and he later had a run abroad with FC Juárez in Mexico before returning home to Brusque. A brief stint at Goiás in January 2023 lasted only two matches before the contract was terminated, and he made 88 appearances, seven goals and seven assists across his time at Mirassol.

The promotion form earned him a switch to Ceará in January 2025. That stay ended by mutual agreement in June 2026, with Ceará keeping a 30% sell-on stake and receiving compensation as part of the deal. Fernandinho returned to Mirassol the following month. He has not been capped by Brazil at senior or youth level.
