Frank Appiah

Ľubomír Reiter, the coach at Petržalka, called Frank Appiah the team's best player during his spell in the Slovak 2. Liga. That season led to a move up a level: in July 2026 Appiah signed a three-year contract with Zlín of the Czech First League.

The route there ran through Slovakia and took six years. Appiah, a midfielder from Accra, began at NADM SC in Ghana and left for Europe in 2020, joining DAC 1904 Dunajská Streda. He did not play a senior match for the club. He was loaned at once to ŠTK Šamorín, and he stayed there from 2020 to 2023, which covers the whole of his time at DAC.

His first move of his own came in July 2023, to Tatran Liptovský Mikuláš. A year later he moved to Železiarne Podbrezová, but that stay was short. He left in January 2025 and joined Petržalka on a free transfer, where the run of form that Reiter described took place.

Appiah is a right-footed player who stands 168 cm. He has played for Ghana at under-17 level, in the Black Starlets side.
