Marián Pišoja

Marián Pišoja is listed as a midfielder, yet much of his career has been spent further back: he is a defender who can play at centre-back or right-back, and has occasionally been used on the right wing.

His route began at MŠK Púchov, where he was in the youth ranks until 2014, before he moved to the academy of AS Trenčín. He stayed there until 2018 and made his senior debut for Trenčín in the Fortuna Liga on 23 February 2019. He played twice in the league that season.

In July 2019 he went back to Púchov on loan, this time in the Slovak 2. Liga. The loan was extended and he stayed until 2021, making 23 appearances and scoring once.

Banská Bystrica was where he became a regular. He joined Dukla in July 2021 and was a key player as the club won promotion to the top flight. He made 106 league appearances for Dukla and scored three goals. Part of that period was spent on loan at Dolný Kubín in the 2. Liga, where he played eight times.

On 6 June 2025 he signed for FC Zlín on a free transfer, on a contract that runs until 3 July 2028. He has played 28 league games for the club and scored one goal.

At youth level he represented Slovakia, winning six caps and scoring once for the under-17s, and three caps for the under-19s.
