Tomáš Poznar

On 20 August 2014, in the second round of the Czech Cup against Hanácká Slavia Kroměříž, Tomáš Poznar spent the shootout in goal. Zlín's goalkeeper had been sent off. He saved three penalties. Zlín won the shootout 8:7.

Poznar came through the Zlín academy, which he joined in 1997, and made his senior debut in 2008. That season he went on loan to Vítkovice, and in 2013 he had a similar spell at Spartak Trnava. He was a key player in the 2014–15 season, when Zlín won promotion to the Czech First League. In 2015–16 he was joint top scorer for the club with seven goals.

In August 2016 he moved to Viktoria Plzeň. Over the next three years he was loaned to Baník Ostrava for 2017–18 and to Zlín for 2018–19. When his contract in Plzeň expired in 2019, he returned to Zlín permanently.

His strongest stretch came in autumn 2020, when he was named Fortuna:Liga Player of the Month for October and for November. The same year he won his one cap for the Czech Republic.

In February 2022 he left for Poland and Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza. In January 2024 he signed for Spartak Trnava on a free transfer and played 13 matches, scoring once. That June he came back to Zlín on another free transfer, with a contract running until 2027. Across all his spells he has made more than 260 competitive appearances for the club.
