About the player
Gerald Alders came through Ajax's academy after joining from Sporting Martinus. Born in Amsterdam, he holds dual Dutch and Namibian nationality through his mother, though his representative football so far has been with the Netherlands at youth level, with caps for the under-18s and under-19s in 2023.
His senior career began with Jong Ajax in the Eerste Divisie, and by January 2025 he had been promoted into the first-team picture, going on to make his Ajax debut against AZ. That same period brought a loan to FC Twente, where he made his Eredivisie debut in May 2025. He returned to Jong Ajax for the following season before a further loan move, this time to Telstar in February 2026, an arrangement later extended to cover the following campaign as well.
A right-footed right-back, Alders remains under contract at Ajax after signing an extension in 2025.
