Harry Whitwell

Harry Whitwell is a product of West Bromwich Albion's academy, joining the club as an 11-year-old schoolboy back in 2017 and signing his first professional contract on his 17th birthday. His breakthrough at senior level came in the FA Cup against Aldershot Town in January 2024, when he set up a goal for Tom Fellows on his competitive debut, and he added a Championship appearance later that year. Opportunities in the first team have been limited since, restricted to a start in the EFL Cup against Fleetwood Town and a substitute appearance against Luton Town.

Whitwell's clearest form has come with England's youth sides and West Brom's academy setup rather than in senior colours. He was part of the England U17 squad that won the Costa Cálida Supercup in September 2022, and he was named West Bromwich Albion Academy Player of the Year for that same season. His form for the club's U21 side stood out again in September 2024, when he scored five goals in three Premier League 2 matches and earned a nomination for the division's Player of the Month award.

A proposed loan move to Cheltenham Town collapsed in January 2025, but Whitwell did leave on loan that August, joining National League side Forest Green Rovers for the season. He wasted little time making an impact there, scoring on his debut in a 4–0 win over Sutton United. The loan was cut short, however, with West Brom recalling him in January 2026.
