About the player
Hervé Kouakou Koffi began his career at home, with RC Bobo Dioulasso, where he was named Best Goalkeeper as the club won the Burkina Faso Premier League title in 2014–15. He moved abroad the following year, to ASEC Mimosas in Côte d'Ivoire, before Lille OSC signed him on a free transfer in 2017 on a five-year contract.
A €2.5 million move took him to RC Lens in 2024. He was subsequently loaned on to Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.
Koffi's biggest stage has been with Burkina Faso, for whom he has made over 73 appearances since his debut in 2016. He was part of the squad that won bronze at the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, and later reached the semi-finals of the tournament in both 2021 and 2023. His individual recognition continued at international level with the Etalon d'Or award in 2026.
