About the player
Skrypnyk's route to Gagra ran through three countries in three years. After coming through the academies at Bukovyna Chernivtsi and Dynamo Kyiv without breaking into the Dynamo first team, he went out on loan to Bukovyna Chernivtsi for the 2022–2023 season and made an immediate mark in the Ukrainian First League, scoring four goals in 18 appearances as a midfielder.
He then left Ukraine altogether. In November 2023 he signed for Fossano in Italy's Serie D as a free agent. From there the path kept moving: a switch to Bulgarian Second League side Sevlievo in January 2025 brought only two appearances, and he moved on again within the year to 1. SC Znojmo in the Czech MSFL, where he featured 14 times.
Gagra signed him on a free transfer in July 2025. He has become a regular starter for the Georgian side in both the Erovnuli Liga and the Georgian Cup, wearing the number 8 shirt.
