About the player
Isa Doğan was carried off at RAMS Park on 4 February 2026 after a collision with Galatasaray's Ahmed Kutucu in a Ziraat Turkish Cup tie. The İstanbulspor goalkeeper had fractures to the cheekbone and jaw. He was taken to Acıbadem Maslak Hospital for surgery.
Doğan is German-born and holds Turkish nationality. He moved to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in 2014. He stayed there through the youth ranks and then played for the club's second team in the Regionalliga.
He left Hoffenheim in the summer of 2020 for Adanaspor in Turkey. A month later he moved to Chemnitzer FC, where he spent two years. Both moves were on free transfers.
He joined 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig in 2022. He was there for two years and won the Saxony Cup (Sachsenpokal) twice.
Doğan signed for İstanbulspor in July 2024, again on a free transfer. He made his debut on 27 July 2024, a 1–0 win over Hatayspor in the TFF 1. Lig. Through the 2024–25 season he was the club's first-choice goalkeeper.
At 191 centimetres he has the height for the position, and he is right-footed. His path has run through German youth football and the lower German leagues before he returned to Turkey, where he now plays.
