Ivan Morgan

Iwan Morgan, often written Ivan, scored 25 goals for Brentford's B team in 2024–25, the season it won the Professional Development League. He never played a senior competitive game for the club.

He started out at Cardiff City and moved to the Swansea City academy in 2020. In September 2023 Brentford signed him on a three-year contract. The compensation paid to Swansea was described as a club record for a player not yet on a professional contract, though the sum was not disclosed. His first season with the B team brought nine goals.

The chance to play men's league football came on 1 January 2026, when he joined Shrewsbury Town on loan until the end of the 2025–26 season. He made 22 appearances, 21 in the league and one in the FA Cup, and scored three goals.

Shrewsbury was not the end of the story. On 7 August 2026 he moved permanently to Grimsby Town on a contract running to June 2029, for an undisclosed fee. By September he had played eight times for his new club and scored once.

For Wales, Morgan has come through the youth ranks. He won eight caps for the Under-17s and scored ten goals, two of them at the 2023 European Under-17 Championship. He also has six caps and one goal for the Under-19s. He has not yet played for the senior national team.
