About the player
Jens Berland Husebø left Tromsø IL for IK Start in July 2026, and the move carried a fee of about €0.2 million. Each of his four previous moves between clubs had been a free transfer.
The centre-back is from Stavanger and grew up in the Viking FK system, where he played youth football from 2008 and reached the senior team at 17. He spent the years from 2016 to 2018 in that squad.
He joined IL Hødd in 2019 and stayed for two seasons. Ullensaker/Kisa IL signed him in 2021, and he remained there until the summer of 2022.
The longest spell of his career came next. He signed for Bryne FK in August 2022 and played for the club until 2025. That run led to Tromsø IL, who signed him in 2025, again without a fee.
At 188 cm and 82 kg, he is a right-footed defender. Husebø has not played for the Norway senior national team.
