About the player
Jakub Kolář has spent his whole career at the club from his home town. He was born in Zlín and never moved to another senior side.
His route started a short distance away at FK Slušovice, where he played youth football from 2007. Early in 2009 he returned there on a short loan from Zlín. That September he moved permanently into the Zlín youth system. He stayed through the U19 and U21 sides and joined the senior squad in 2019. He made his first-team debut that October.
Alongside his first-team appearances, Kolář played for Zlín B in the MSFL and the 3. MSFL between 2019 and 2025.
The 2024/25 season was played in the Czech National Football League (FNL), after Zlín's relegation from the top flight. Kolář made 18 league appearances and scored once. He also played five matches for Zlín B and three in the MOL Cup. The club returned to the Chance Liga for 2025/26. Kolář has played 24 league games there, scoring one goal and setting up another, and has added two MOL Cup matches and one for the B team.
He has also played for his country at youth level. His debut for the Czech Republic U21 side came on 19 November 2022, and he has won four caps at that level.
