Josh Vickers

Josh Vickers has won a league title and a cup, and a promotion with each of his last three clubs: Lincoln City, Rotherham United and now Derby County.

Vickers came through the Arsenal academy as far as the under-21s without a first-team appearance. His early games came out on loan: 30 league appearances for Canvey Island in 2013–14, then 26 for Concord Rangers in late 2014. Swansea City signed him on a free transfer in August 2015 and sent him to Barnet for 2016–17. He made his English Football League debut there on 6 August 2016, a 1–1 draw with Cambridge United, and finished the season with 23 league appearances, six clean sheets and 30 goals conceded. Swansea released him in 2017.

Lincoln City signed him that June, again on a free transfer, and he became first choice. He played 70 league games for the club. Lincoln won the EFL Trophy in 2017–18 and the League Two title in 2018–19. His contract ran out in May 2020.

Rotherham United signed him in November 2020. He made 23 league appearances, and the club won promotion to the Championship in 2021–22. He turned down a new contract at the end of 2022–23.

Derby County signed him on a free transfer on 20 June 2023 on a three-year deal. He was instrumental in the club's promotion to the Championship in 2023–24, and his contract now runs until June 2029. In 2024–25 Derby supporters gave him the club's Save of the Season award for a stop from Tom Fellows in a 3–1 away win at West Bromwich Albion.

Vickers has not played for England at any level.
