About the player
Kyriakos Antoniou came up through the Pafos FC academy, staying with the club until 2014 before working his way into the first team, where he went on to make 26 league appearances and score once between 2018 and 2022. A loan spell took him to Akritas Chlorakas in the 2021–2022 season. From Pafos he moved to AEZ Zakakiou in 2022, and the following season became a regular fixture at the back, making 41 league appearances and adding a goal, plus a single outing in the Cyprus Cup.
In July 2024, Antoniou joined Akritas Chlorakas as a free agent, signing a contract initially set to run until June 2027. He wore the number 5 shirt and spent two seasons with the club before moving on again in July 2026, this time to Bulgaria's FC Dunav Ruse on a free transfer, agreeing terms until June 2027.
Internationally, Antoniou represented Cyprus at various youth levels, collecting eight caps for the under-17 side between 2017 and 2018 and six for the under-19s in 2019. His involvement with the under-21 team came down to a single appearance, on 12 November 2021, when he was brought on as a substitute in a UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier away to Portugal, a match Cyprus lost 0–1.
