About the player
Lukas Mondele's move to Cercle Brugge in July 2026 brought him back to the Belgian top flight for the first time, on a three-year deal running to 2029. He came through the Sporting Charleroi academy before switching to Club Brugge in 2019, then spent three seasons in the club's reserve side, Club NXT.
Mondele left Belgium in 2023 for Modena in Italy. A season with US Pergolettese 1932 in 2023–2024, then a stint in Slovenia with ND Bilje in early 2025. He returned home that July, signing for Francs Borains in the Challenger Pro League, before Cercle Brugge's move a year later took him back up a division.
A left-footed defensive midfielder capable of playing centrally or dropping into defence, Mondele built his international pedigree at youth level, representing Belgium across the U15, U16, U18 and U19 age groups between 2019 and 2022.
