About the player
Lars-Jørgen Salvesen's best return came at Viking FK. He was the club's top scorer in the 2024 Eliteserien with 12 goals , part of 22 league goals in 56 league appearances between 2023 and 2025. Viking had signed him from FK Bodø/Glimt in March 2023 for a reported €700,000.
The move came soon after Bodø/Glimt paid €1.3 million for him in 2022. He was part of the squad there but left before the club secured the title, and he did not play in the Eliteserien for them in 2023.
He is from Kristiansand and started out at FK Vigør, where he made his senior debut in 2013. A year later he joined IK Start, and he stayed until 2018. That year he moved to Ullensaker/Kisa and then to Sarpsborg 08 for €45,000. Strømsgodset signed him in 2019, and he was there until the move to Bodø/Glimt.
Derby County signed him on 15 January 2025 for an undisclosed fee.
He has not played for the senior Norway side. His international appearances came for Norway at under-19 level.
