Lewis Orford

Lewis Orford was captaining England's Under-18 side and collected eight caps at that level.

He joined the club's academy at the age of five, after playing for Upminster Park Rovers, and registered formally with West Ham at eight. He signed his first professional contract in February 2023 and made his senior debut on 18 January 2025.

Orford moved on to the Under-19s in 2024, and his seven caps there brought two goals, one of them the winner against Bulgaria in European Championship qualifying. He also played twice for the Under-16s in 2022. In 2025 he was called into the Under-20 squad and made his debut against Italy in September, one of three caps he had won by the end of that year.

He went to Stevenage on a season-long loan in League One. His debut came in the EFL Trophy against Crystal Palace Under-21s in October, and he marked it with a goal and two assists. The spell did not run its course, though: West Ham recalled him on 26 November 2025, and the loan was ended early.

Orford is a homegrown player, and every move in his career so far has been made without a transfer fee.
