Louis Charles Lloyd

Louis Lloyd is a forward who has found his footing after a period of movement through several academies. His career path took him from the Llandudno youth setup to the Wrexham academy, then to Connah's Quay Nomads, before he joined Shrewsbury Town in 2020. That spell at the Shropshire club offered a senior debut in the EFL Trophy in November 2020, yet he made no league appearances.

Returning to Wales in 2022, he signed for Wrexham again, a move that also saw him sidelined in the league. The turning point arrived on 10 June 2023 when he signed for Caernarfon Town on a free transfer. The decision proved decisive for his development. In the 2024–25 season, Lloyd emerged as a consistent threat, finishing as joint winner of the Cymru Premier Golden Boot with 16 goals. He also secured the JD Cymru Premier Young Player of the Season award, recognising his impact on the pitch.

His performances attracted attention further north. On 14 July 2025, he transferred to Scottish Championship club St Johnstone for an undisclosed fee, signing a three-year deal. He won the Scottish Championship in the 2025–26 season, securing promotion to the Scottish Premiership with the team.

Lloyd has not earned senior caps for the Wales national team, though he is a graduate of the FAW National Academy and was a schoolboy international. While earlier stages of his career saw limited playing time, his form at Caernarfon provided the platform for his next step.
