Ludvig Oliver Svanberg

Ludvig Svanberg arrived at Mjällby AIF in the middle of the 2025 season and left the year with a league title. Mjällby signed him from GIF Sundsvall on 11 August 2025 for a fee of about 2 million SEK, on a contract running to the end of 2029. The Allsvenskan championship followed in the same season, and in the 2025–26 Svenska Cupen the club added a second trophy, beating Hammarby IF 2–1 in the final on 14 May 2026.

That final had a personal edge. Hammarby is where Svanberg grew up in football: he joined the club's youth system in 2008 and signed his first professional contract in November 2019. He was part of the Hammarby squad that reached the 2021–22 Svenska Cupen final, though he did not play in it. Four years later he was on the winning side against them.

His route to regular senior football ran through loans. He spent 2020 at IK Frej, where he made 25 appearances, then three years with Hammarby TFF, the club's affiliated side, where he played 49 matches. In July 2023 he was sent on loan to GIF Sundsvall and played 17 times. Sundsvall made the move permanent that December, and he stayed until August 2025, playing 62 matches in total. He scored three league goals there and four in all competitions.

Svanberg is a left-footed defender who has played for Sweden at under-17 level, winning one cap. Since the move to Mjällby he has scored once in the Allsvenskan, as of July 2026.
