About the player
Ludvig Tidsstrand was 15 when he left Sölvesborgs GoIF for the academy at Mjällby AIF in the winter of 2020. Until then he had been playing for the reserve team in Division 5, the sixth tier of Swedish football. The move took him from local football into a professional youth setup.
The club promoted him from within. In July 2022 he signed his first senior contract, running to the end of the 2025 season, and no transfer fee was involved. His first senior competitive appearance came in February 2024 in the Svenska Cupen, and his Allsvenskan debut followed in April of the same year.
Later that season he went out on loan to Nosaby IF in Division 2. It came within months of his first-team debut.
At 194 cm, Tidsstrand is a tall, left-footed midfielder. His breakthrough came in 2025, when Mjällby won the Swedish championship. As of November 2025 he had played 19 Allsvenskan matches and scored once.
The title is the main entry in a career that is still short.
