About the player
Mamady Cissé arrived at Atlético Mineiro in May 2025, joining the Brazilian club's youth ranks straight from 36 Lion FC in Nigeria. The move took the Guinean midfielder from Conakry to Minas Gerais in one step, and within months he had worked his way into the first-team picture, making his senior debut for Atlético in January 2026.
Cissé wears the number 39 shirt. His path so far has been about breaking through rather than building a long résumé: a spell in Nigeria, then a rapid switch to Brazilian football and a debut that came less than a year after he first arrived at the club.
