Mitchell Reece Clark

Mitch Clark's only goal for Accrington Stanley was an equaliser against Sunderland in January 2022. During his two seasons at the club, he made 76 appearances, 65 of them in the league. A month later he was sent off against Wycombe Wanderers.

Clark joined the Aston Villa academy in 2006 after starting out at Bedworth Eagles. He signed his first professional contract in 2017 but never played a senior game for Villa. With the under-23s he won the Premier League Cup and finished as runners-up in Premier League 2 Division Two in 2017–18. He captained Wales at under-19 level, though he has not played for the senior side.

Port Vale was where he found regular football. Between 2018 and 2021 he went there on loan three times: 40 appearances in the first spell, four in January 2020 and 11 from October 2020. In between, he joined Leicester City on a free transfer in July 2019 and again did not make a senior appearance. In September 2020 he was nominated for Professional Development League Player of the Month.

His contract at Accrington ran out in 2023, and he signed for Port Vale permanently on a free transfer. In 2024–25 the club finished second in League Two and went up.

Off the pitch, the Football Association charged him in May 2023 with breaching betting rules over 312 bets placed between February 2022 and March 2023. He received a suspended three-month ban and a £600 fine.

In February 2026 he moved to Fleetwood Town on loan and played 14 league games. He signed for Swindon Town on a free transfer that June.
