Matyáš Vojta

In January 2026, Sparta Praha went to a direct rival and paid €4 million plus €750,000 in bonuses for Matyáš Vojta — a deal that made him the subject of the most expensive transfer between two Czech clubs in history.

Vojta's path there was not straightforward. He came through the youth ranks at SK Praha 4 and Slavoj Vyšehrad, with a season on loan in Slavia Prague's academy along the way, before making his senior debut back at Vyšehrad in the Czech National Football League. Mladá Boleslav signed him in 2022, and for a while he was shuttled between the first team and the reserves. A loan spell at Varnsdorf in early 2024 turned into the breakthrough: seven goals in thirteen appearances.

Back at Mladá Boleslav for the 2024–25 season, he delivered ten league goals in 26 appearances plus European football in the Conference League, and followed it with seven more goals in seventeen games before the January move to Sparta. He was runner-up for both Discovery of the Season and Talent of the Year, and was named Chance Liga Player of the Month for December 2025.

At Sparta, Vojta has settled quickly, scoring a hat-trick against Viktorie Žižkov in the MOL Cup among his early appearances for the club.
