About the player
Magnus Mevik Eidahl is a Sarpsborg product through and through.
He moved up through the club's age groups at Sarpsborg 08, from the U15s in 2022 to the U19s. He was in the U16 and U17 squads in 2023, and the U17 and U19 squads in 2024.
His first senior football came in May 2023. Sarpsborg 08 II, the reserve side, played in the 3. Divisjon, and that is where he made his debut. From there he worked his way towards the first-team squad, which plays in the Eliteserien.
He has made five senior appearances for the club so far. As an academy graduate, he arrived in the first-team picture without a transfer fee and without time at another club.
Eidahl is a defender. His development has been steady rather than sudden, then a gradual progression into the senior squad while he was still eligible for the youth teams.
