Marcel Pięczek

Marcel Pięczek came up through Widzew Łódź, joining the club's youth setup before making his senior debut for the first team in May 2018. Over four seasons in the club's lower and middle divisions he made around 49 league appearances without scoring, learning the game as a left-footed defender before his move to Puszcza Niepołomice.

Loaned to Puszcza in January 2021 for the remainder of that season, he made his debut the following month and stayed on, with the loan turned permanent on a free transfer in January 2022. It was the 2022/23 campaign that marked him out: 31 league appearances and nine assists in I liga, and a role in the promotion playoffs, where he set up two goals in the final against Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza, a 3:2 win after extra time, for three assists across the two legs. That promotion took Puszcza into the Ekstraklasa, where Pięczek played 14 top-flight matches in 2023/24 before his departure.

He signed for Korona Kielce as a free agent at the end of December 2023, on a two-and-a-half-year contract, after the club had tried and failed to meet Puszcza's asking price for him the previous summer. He made his Korona debut in February 2024 and has since become a fixture in defence, his appearances rising each season: 11 Ekstraklasa matches in his debut half-season, 15 the following year, and 32 in 2025/26, a campaign in which he also added four goals.

At international level, Pięczek represented Poland at Under-19 level, earning four caps between 2018 and 2019, including matches against North Macedonia, Wales, Israel and Switzerland.
