Marvin Kaleta

Marvin Kaleta's route to Rotherham United began far from South Yorkshire, in the academy system of Manchester City, where he arrived at under-12 level in 2015. He spent five years there before moving across the city's rivalry lines in 2020 to join Wolverhampton Wanderers' academy. Kaleta signed scholarship terms with Wolves in July 2021 and turned professional a year later, working his way through the club's under-18 and under-21 sides without ever making a senior league appearance for the first team. The breakthrough, such as it was, came away from Molineux. In July 2024, Kaleta joined Scottish Premiership side Motherwell on a season-long loan, and it was there that he had his first real taste of first-team football. He made 21 league appearances during the 2024–25 campaign, adding four in the Scottish League Cup and one in the Scottish Cup, before returning to Wolves in June 2025. In July 2025 he signed for Rotherham United on a two-year deal running until June 2027. The fee was undisclosed. Kaleta plays as a right-back, right-footed, and has represented DR Congo at under-20 level, reflecting his Congolese heritage alongside his English upbringing in Manchester. At Rotherham he wears the number 17 shirt.
