About the player
One goal from Matěj Jurásek still resonates in the Europa League. It was a strike against Ludogorets in September 2024 that shifted momentum for Slavia Prague. He arrived at the Slavia Prague academy in 2005 at the age of ten. Before that, he developed his skills at Slovan Havlíčkův Brod.
His international career took shape quickly. He earned four caps for the Czech Republic senior team within a short span. His debut came in March 2024 against Armenia. This rapid progression saw him selected for the UEFA Euro 2024 squad. He appeared as a substitute against Georgia during the tournament.
However, his path was not without interruption. Injuries tested his consistency. A muscle injury at Norwich City in 2025 sidelined him for a period. Earlier, a leg injury while at Slavia during the 2024–2025 campaign also kept him on the sidelines.
The transfer to Norwich City in January 2025 was a significant step. He signed a contract that runs until 2030. He scored his first goal for Norwich in the EFL Cup against Walsall in January 2026. Later, a loan spell to AC Sparta Prague in August 2026 offered further experience.
At Slavia Prague, he contributed to a domestic trophy. Jurásek was part of that winning group.
