About the player
Matej Kadlec was handed his Czech First League debut in December 2024, in a match against Sparta Prague. It came after a youth career spent entirely in the capital, where he is described as a native of Prague.
He started in 2008 at SK Junior Praha 1960. A year later he moved to Slavia Prague, where he stayed until 2014. That year he joined Bohemians 1905, and he went through the club's youth teams until 2021. From then until 2024 he played for the Bohemians 1905 B team, and he came through the academy without a transfer fee at any stage.
The step up began in early 2024, when Kadlec joined the first team's winter training camp. The league debut followed later that year. In the 2024/25 season he made five league appearances, scored no goals and set up one.
The club then committed to him. In September 2025 he signed a contract extension that keeps him at Bohemians 1905 until 31 December 2028. By the 2026/27 season he had made about 23 league appearances for the first team.
Kadlec has not played for the Czech Republic senior side and has not won a major title or individual award. His first-team career at Bohemians 1905 is still in its early stages.
