Morgan Bokele Mputu

Morgan Bokele Mputu was born in Lyon and came through the youth ranks at FC Metz, which he joined in 2019. He worked his way up to Metz's reserve side, playing in National 2 and National 3, and across three seasons with Metz B he scored 11 goals in 39 appearances, including eight in just 13 matches during the 2023–24 campaign. A loan spell at SAS Épinal in the second half of that season added 14 appearances and a goal in the Championnat National.

That form earned him a professional contract with Metz, signed in February 2024 and later extended to 2028. He made his Ligue 2 debut against Bastia in August 2024, coming off the bench in a 1–1 draw, but had to wait until March 2025 for his first senior goal, netting in a 5–1 win over FC Annecy.

That result made his subsequent move to Dunkerque, on loan, a twist. There he has made 12 Ligue 2 appearances, starting eight of them, and scored once. Reports in April 2026 suggested Dunkerque were weighing up a permanent move, though talks were complicated by Metz's own fight against relegation. The loan runs until the end of June 2026, leaving Bokele Mputu's longer-term future at the club still to be settled.

He has represented Cameroon at under-23 level, having been called up in October 2021, and remains eligible for France through his birth in Lyon.
