Morgan Fassbender

Morgan Fassbender's route to Polish football ran through the German lower leagues. Born in Stuttgart, he came through the VfB Stuttgart academy before moving on to SSV Ulm 1846 and Stuttgarter Kickers, then began his senior career in earnest with SGV Freiberg in the winter of 2018. Spells at FV Illertissen and 1. Göppinger SV followed, the latter producing four goals in 29 appearances.

A move to BSG Chemie Leipzig in July 2020 brought a productive stint in the Regionalliga Nordost, with four or five goals in just 12 appearances before that season was cut short. Two years at SV Meppen in the 3. Liga followed a free transfer in July 2021, where he made 63 appearances and scored seven goals.

Fassbender's move to Poland came in July 2023, when he joined Bruk-Bet Termalica Nieciecza on a free transfer. Across three seasons at the club he made 84 appearances and scored 12 goals, playing in both the I Liga and the Ekstraklasa as Nieciecza secured promotion to the top flight during his time there. He wore the number 7 shirt at Nieciecza before switching to 22.

In July 2026 he moved on again, joining Korona Kielce for a fee of €100,000. He has continued in the Ekstraklasa there, and scored twice against Widzew Łódź in August 2026. Of Ghanaian descent, Fassbender represented Germany at youth level, though he has not been capped at senior international level for either country.
