About the player
Nahuel Bustos moved from Manchester City's books to the Colombian league in January 2026, joining Independiente Santa Fe on loan from Talleres de Córdoba until the end of the year, with an option to buy.
City signed him from Talleres in October 2020 for a fee of around £5.85 million, taking a majority share of his rights, though he was loaned out immediately to Girona. A move to São Paulo later that year was cut short when the loan was ended by mutual consent in November 2022, sending him back to Argentina, first at Talleres and then on loan at San Lorenzo in the second half of 2024.
At international level, Bustos was capped by Argentina's under-23 side, scoring in stoppage time as they beat Venezuela 4–1 on 30 January 2020. He started against Chile and Venezuela in that campaign, with more limited appearances off the bench against Colombia and Ecuador.
