Näis Djouahra

Näis Djouahra came through Saint-Étienne's academy before leaving France altogether in 2018 for Real Sociedad, where he spent four years largely with the reserve side in the Spanish lower divisions, breaking into the first team for a La Liga debut in 2020 and going out on loan to Mirandés along the way.

The move that reshaped his career came in 2022, when Rijeka paid Real Sociedad around €750,000 for him, a deal structured with a repurchase option and a sell-on clause that tied his future value back to the Basque club. He left Croatia briefly, then returned to Rijeka in 2024, and won both the Croatian league and the Croatian Cup there in the 2024-25 season.

Arouca signed him on a free transfer in July 2025 once his Rijeka contract had expired, handing him a two-year deal. The move has paid off quickly: he made 34 Liga Portugal appearances in his first season, scoring six goals and adding three assists, and has continued that form into the new campaign with four assists from six league games. His assist numbers have put him among the more productive midfielders in the Primeira Liga.

Djouahra has not made a senior international appearance for France. Algeria's federation made contact over his eligibility in 2020 given his Algerian descent, but he has not committed to either country.
