Nathan Trott

Nathan Trott did not start out as a goalkeeper. He was an outfield player at Saltus Grammar School in Bermuda when an injury to the Bermuda Under-15 goalkeeper led to him being moved between the posts. A scout from a Valencia satellite academy had already noticed him, and he went on to join Valencia's academy before returning to Bermuda to play for North Village Rams.

West Ham United took him into their academy in January 2016, and he signed a four-year professional contract in March 2019. His development came through loans. AFC Wimbledon gave him 23 league appearances in 2019–20, and a season at Nancy in Ligue 2 brought 22 more, plus one for the reserve side in the fifth tier.

In August 2022, he went to Vejle Boldklub on loan. The deal was extended for a second year, and he made 51 league appearances. Vejle won the Danish 1st Division in 2022–23, and he then played with them in the Superliga.

Copenhagen signed him permanently in June 2024. He made 17 league appearances there, and the club won the Superliga and the Danish Cup in 2024–25.

In August 2025 he joined Cardiff City on a season-long loan, played 41 league games in League One and helped the club to promotion. Cardiff exercised the option to buy, and he signed a three-year contract that runs from 1 July 2026.

Internationally, Trott has played for England at Under-19 and Under-20 level, winning six caps at the latter, and for Bermuda at Under-15 and Under-17 level. He holds both nationalities.
