Nicolas Janvier

Nicolas Janvier was among the youngest players to sign a professional contract at Stade Rennais, in the line of Yoann Gourcuff and Damien Le Tallec. He had started at JA Saint-Servan at six and moved to the Rennes academy in 2006. The contract came in August 2015, and his Ligue 1 debut followed on 11 December that year against SM Caen.

That season also brought a European title with France at Under-17 level. Janvier was in the squad that won the 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, though he was on the bench for the final. In the semi-final shootout against Belgium he missed his penalty. Across all France youth teams, from Under-16 to Under-20, he won 53 caps and scored 16 goals. He has not played for the senior national team.

In August 2019 he went to Portugal, joining Vitória SC B for €50,000. He scored eight goals in 23 games for the reserves in his first season, which earned him a place in the senior squad. His Primeira Liga debut came on 18 September 2020, a 1–0 defeat by B-SAD. From there he became a regular starter and played 69 league games for Vitória, scoring three goals, before leaving in 2023.

On 4 July 2023 he signed a three-year contract with Alanyaspor in Turkey. In August 2026 he moved on a free transfer to Esenler Erokspor, with a contract running until 30 June 2028.
