About the player
Niklas Fuglestad scored the winner against Paraguay at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, one of two goals he managed in four appearances for Norway's under-20 side.
Fuglestad came through Viking's academy, which he joined in 2022 while also playing for Sola. Before that he had been at Våganes, where his youth career began. He signed his first professional contract with Viking in early 2024 and made his senior debut that July.
Loan to Moss
In August 2025 Viking sent him to Moss FK for the rest of the season. He played 10 matches there and scored once, his first extended run of senior football away from the club.
He won two caps for Norway at under-18 level, then five at under-19 level, scoring once. The four under-20 appearances brought the two goals, including the one against Paraguay. He has also played once for the under-21 side.
