About the player
Noa Williams moved to Sarpsborg 08 in February 2026 from Kongsvinger, in a deal reported at more than 10 million kroner, about €1 million. The midfielder Daniel Job went the other way, to Kongsvinger.
The fee followed two seasons in which Williams became a scoring midfielder. He joined Kongsvinger in January 2024 and scored 15 league goals in 53 appearances. That is a sharp rise on his earlier Norwegian record: at Fredrikstad he made 52 league appearances and scored four or five goals.
Williams is from Stockholm and came through the youth system at Hammarby, where he played in the under-19 Allsvenskan until the summer of 2019. His first senior football was in the Swedish Superettan with IK Brage. He made 37 appearances and scored twice between 2020 and July 2021, when he left for Norway and Fredrikstad.
His time at Fredrikstad included a loan spell. In August 2023 he went to Skeid for the rest of the season, played 12 matches and scored twice. Five months later he was at Kongsvinger.
Williams has represented Sweden at youth level. He won three caps for the under-16 side in 2017.
