About the player
Noah Phillips saved a penalty on his first-team debut for Leyton Orient, in an EFL Trophy tie against AFC Wimbledon on 18 August. The match finished 1–1 and Orient won the shootout 6–5.
Four days later he made his Football League debut. Nathan Baxter went off injured in the away game at Wigan Athletic and Phillips came on as a substitute. Orient won 2–0.
Both appearances came after years of development elsewhere. Phillips joined the Orient academy in 2017 and signed his first professional contract on 9 July 2024. Before that, the club sent him out on loan almost every season to play men's football in the non-league game. His first spell was at Hornchurch in 2021, and he returned there in 2024. Between those two stints he played for Bishop's Stortford, Harlow Town, Waltham Abbey, Maldon & Tiptree, Royston Town and Heybridge Swifts.
The 2025–26 season brought two more loans. He spent September and October 2025 at Dorking Wanderers, where he made two appearances. He then went to Chelmsford City in February 2026 and played 17 times there before the spell ended in March.
He is now on loan at Gateshead.
His brother, Dillon Phillips, is also a professional goalkeeper and plays for Hull City.
