About the player
Olaus Skarsem In July 2026 he then broke his contract and returned to Norway, joining Sarpsborg 08 on a free transfer. The deal runs to the end of 2028, and he had made six league appearances for the club by September.
Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Everton and West Ham, scouted him in 2017, the year he joined the senior squad. Rosenborg won the Eliteserien, the Norwegian Cup and the Super Cup in 2018, and those honours belong to his time at the club. Ranheim took him on loan in 2019, where he played 21 league matches and scored once.
Kristiansund signed him on a free transfer in January 2020. Over two seasons he played 39 league games there and scored three goals. Rosenborg brought him back in July 2021 for a reported €29,000, and he stayed until CSKA Sofia paid around €500,000 for him in January 2024.
In Sofia he played 62 matches, 54 of them in the league, and scored five goals.
For Norway he played seven times for the under-18s in 2016. He won one cap at under-21 level, in 2019, and scored in a friendly against Denmark on 10 June. He has not yet made a senior appearance for the national team.
