Ömer Kahveci

Ömer Kahveci made his professional debut at 17, for Adana Demirspor. Within three years he had moved to Bucaspor, and at 19 he was playing in the Süper Lig, one of the youngest goalkeepers to do so regularly in the Turkish top flight.

Bucaspor was where he settled. He spent six seasons there, from 2010 to 2016, and made 119 appearances. During the 2012–13 season the TFF 1. Lig named him its Goalkeeper of the Week.

Youth international football ran alongside the club career. Kahveci played for Turkey at under-17, under-18, under-19 and under-21 level, and was part of the squad at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup. He won 10 caps for the under-21 side between 2011 and 2015.

After leaving Bucaspor he moved between clubs at a steadier pace. He spent a year at Tirespor 1922, then two seasons at Şanlıurfaspor, where he made 65 appearances. Manisa FK signed him in August 2019. In 2021–22 he was loaned to Ankaraspor, for whom he played eight times, before returning to Manisa. He left in August 2023 for 1461 Trabzon FK.

His most recent seasons have been spent in the south-east. With Mardin 1969 SK he helped the side win promotion to the TFF 1. Lig, and in January 2026 he joined Mardin BB.
