Philip Brittijn

Philip Brittijn came through the youth ranks at FC Winterswijk before moving to De Graafschap's academy, where he stayed until signing his first professional contract in August 2021. His contract was extended in June 2023 through to 2025, and over his time at the club he made 133 league appearances and scored 15 goals in the Eerste Divisie. He featured in De Graafschap's promotion play-offs in both 2023 and 2024, though the club fell short of the Eredivisie on each occasion. ESPN later named him among the division's talents, one of the 'pearls' of the Eerste Divisie.

At youth international level, Brittijn was capped once for the Netherlands' U18 side in 2021 and twice more for the U19s in 2022, without yet progressing to senior international football.

In June 2025, with his contract at De Graafschap expiring, Brittijn left as a free agent and signed a three-year deal with Fortuna Sittard running until June 2028, a move finalised on 1 July 2025. The transfer arrived without a fee changing hands, despite earlier reports that had suggested a fee in the region of €600,000. Since then he has made 32 league appearances for his new club, scoring four goals.
