Paul Milton Glatzel

Paul Glatzel scored 28 goals for Liverpool's Under-18s in the 2018–19 season, eight of them in the FA Youth Cup, which the club won that year. That run is the high point of a career that has since moved down the leagues and into a settled role as a striker at Swindon Town.

A Liverpool native with English and German citizenship, Glatzel was capped by England at U15 and U16 level, four times without scoring. He then switched to Germany at U18 level, where he played twice and scored once. He signed his first professional contract with Liverpool in September 2019 but did not make a first-team appearance for the club.

Regular senior football came on loan at Tranmere Rovers in 2021–22. He made 21 appearances, 16 of them in the league, and scored six goals: four in the league and two in the EFL Trophy. A second loan spell in 2022–23 ended almost as soon as it began. He made one league appearance and was substituted with an injury.

At Swindon he found more stability. Seven goals in 19 league appearances in 2023–24 were followed by 45 appearances and five goals in 2024–25. On 31 May 2025 he signed a two-year contract extension, which runs until June 2027.

Glatzel now leads the line for Swindon in the number 9 shirt. He has scored 12 league goals in 82 league appearances for the club.
