About the player
He had come through the club's own youth ranks, having arrived there in 2016 after spells at ASC Marbath, Étoile Lusitana and ASAC Ndiambour, and stayed on with the senior side until 2023.
The peak of his international recognition so far came with Senegal at the 2022 African Nations Championship, where he was named the competition's best goalkeeper and included in the Team of the Tournament as Senegal won the title.
His move abroad came in August 2023, when he joined Belgian side RFC Seraing, making 15 appearances in the Challenger Pro League across the 2023-24 season. In July 2024, he signed for FC Metz on a free transfer, agreeing a two-year contract.
